Breathe Freely with the Telaire SM-PWM-01A SMART Dust Sensor
Willow Technologies Limited www.willow.co.uk, introduces Amphenol’s Telaire SM-PWM-01A Smart Dust Sensor that detects the dust particle concentration in air by using optical sensing method. An infrared light emitting diode (IR LED) and a photo-sensor are optically arranged in the device. The photo-sensor detects the reflected IR LED light by dust particles in air.
At just 49 x 46 x 18 mm and weighing only 23g, the SMART Dust Sensor has a low pulse width output proportional to particle size and concentration.
Martin Pearce, Marketing Director at Willow Technologies commented, “TheThe SMART Dust Sensor can detect the small particle like cigarette smoke and it can distinguish small particles (1μm) like smoke from large house dust (20μm) by the pulse pattern of signal output."
Applications for detection of dust in air, indoor air quality monitoring, air cleaners / purifiers / conditioners, outdoor dust monitoring with IAQ monitors and smoke type fire alarms.
“This SMART Dust Sensor really is an outstanding innovative product and we are seeing a lot of demand for it”. Concluded Pearce.
